Payroll Manager and bookkeeper

About The Position

Glassbox’s finance team is looking for an experienced payroll manager and bookkeeper. The payroll manager and bookkeeper role represent a great opportunity to gain experience in many aspects of a finance department in a rapidly growing high-tech company. The payroll manager and bookkeeper will be reporting to the Finance Director.

What your day to day will look like:

•                Prepare and process monthly payroll for approximately 50 employees in Israel (using dedicated software), including withholding tax and National Insurance

•                Collect and summarize employees’ timesheets and vacation information

•                Interact with insurance agencies and pension administrator and update employee’s social benefits information in payroll

•                Handling on-boarding and termination of employees

•                Preparing salaries and payroll related items for payment

•                Working with different authorities (social security, income taxes etc’)

•                Approval of new vendors and payment to vendors (globally) - invoices, preparing payments and reconciliations

•                Conduct reconciliation of the company's bank accounts and credit card activities in Israel and internationally

•                Handling fixed assets, payables and accruals

•                Reviewing and approving employees travel expenses reports

•                Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process


What should you bring to the table?

•                Certified payroll accountant with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role

•                Bookkeeping Certificate - Type 3

•                Minimum of 3 years of experience as a bookkeeper

•                Previous employment in a global office working environment

•                Experience in working with high-tech/startup companies - Advantage

•                Experience working with multiple currencies

•                Strong Excel skills - must

•                Highly organized and reliable with strong attention to details

•                Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment

•                Experience with Priority/Netsuite/Hilan software – big advantage

•                Strong verbal and written skills in English
